Deck - Baluster
 

The railing for the deck is a safety feature which restrains the individuals standing high above the ground level. As we can see, the balusters or small vertical rails are positioned close together to provide a screen that prevents smaller body parts from protruding through the railing. They can have a maximum opening of 4 inches (101.6 mm).
