Sidewalk - Paver

Designers can achieve ornamental designs in sidewalks and decks by specifying paver blocks. There are a myriad of designs that can be achieved, so more planning is involved than with a regular concrete walkway. A designer can research block sizes on the Internet or by requesting a catalog from a manufacturer of these stones.

In a framed area, a firm stone bed is laid and compacted, followed by a layer of fine and clean sand. The stone layer will want to have a level to check their progress. In the final stage, more sand is swept over the blocks to fill the gaps between the stones.
